Community Clean-up Support

Volunteers at the 2012 Iowa Project AWARE clean-up remove a large OTR tire from the river. More than 1,300 tires were collected during the event. Bridgestone Americas assured all tires went to another valuable use.

The One Team, One Planet Spent Tire Community Clean-Up Support Program is aimed to eradicate the problem of tires littering our natural environment – be it on the side of the road, in a creek or elsewhere.

To help us achieve this goal, Bridgestone has partnered with River Network. The Portland-based nonprofit leads a national watershed protection movement that includes more than 2,000 local, state and regional grassroots organizations whose primary mission is to protect rivers and watersheds.

Our new community clean-up support program will recycle spent tires collected during any River Network or other independently organized clean-up event – free of charge.

Event organizers can request tire recycling support by filling out a form available here.
